Richmond Library: Author Talk – Christine Leunens

March 28 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Free

The book which inspired the Oscar winning film Jojo Rabbit was written by our very own Nelson Author Christine Leunens.

Join us at Richmond Library for a very special talk by Christine Leunens about the book, Caging Skies, which inspired the film.

Caging Skies is a gripping, atmospheric novel about obsession and love which examines truth and lies, and lays bare our darkest impulses.

Johannes is an avid member of the Hitler Youth. As the war rages on, he discovers his parents are hiding a Jewish girl called Elsa behind a false wall in their large house in Vienna. His initial horror turns to love and obsession.

Both manipulating and manipulated, Johannes soon finds he is the only one aware of Elsa’s existence in the house, the only one responsible for her survival.

Don’t miss this remarkable opportunity to hear Christine Leunens speak about this very special book.

It is free to attend and everyone is welcome.

Page & Blackmore will be selling copies of Caging Skies at this event.
