Juliet Marillier- Warrior Bards Inspirations and Influences

December 21 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

FANDEMONIUM 17-23 October – Sci Fi and Fantasy Collide in the Library

Author of the Sevenwater series, Bridei Chronicles, and Blackthorn and Grim.

On the heels of the release of two new books: A Song of Flight, final book in the Warrior Bards series; and fairy tale collection, Mother Thorn and Other Tales of Courage and Kindness, Juliet Marillier Zooms in to talk to Nicki Sharpe from Nelson Public Libraries, about mythological and folkloric influences in her work

Juliet is a member of OBOD (The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids) and her spiritual values are often reflected in her work – the human characters’ relationship with the natural world plays a significant part, as does the power of storytelling to teach and to heal.

When not writing, Juliet is kept busy by a varying number of rescue dogs.
